    do you ever find that rubbing the surface of already painted parts with cellulose thinners actually helps with the end finish.i have started to do this with already painted parts which have been rubbed down with scotch cloth the cleaned with cellulose thinners before painting.are there any problems to watch out for if powder coating over a wet spray paint.

    actually powerdercoating can drip if too much poweder is on the piece. Usually on recoats which should be avoided or reblasted.

    yes im a powder coater i have been for nearly 2 years i use a norton encore or the basic norton depends on what job im doing. at my old job i used the iwt gema both are really good guns this little gun is a way for a company to try and get people to buy there products but all powder coating should be done by a real gun these give a very thin coat with a much lower anti scratch protection some products i spray could be droped with only minor scratches i would always says get done by pro

    For the record – I bought one of eastwoods guns last year and the thing sucked! IMO – it wasnt even worth sending back for a refund! Junk! Powder wouldnt stick, it got tested and had almost no charge to it and every powder i got from clumped up too!

    well as you know the powder is charged the powder is charged and because the electricity cant escape its pushes back throught the powder and thats the dots and one thing i can recommend
    when spraying a recoat is move the gun back about an extra 5 inches and spray i coat not quiet as thick as normal

    well it depends what you will be powder coating little parts that gun will be fine if you want to do large things like bull bars or things like that you will need a real gun an itw gema or a surecaot gun but booth are thousands the new gun i got at work cost 11 thousands
